Ichimatsu is a refinement and tradition revisited.
This pattern was born from the collaboration between the Japanese artist Asako Hishiki and the Italian graphic designer Fabrizio Alzati.
The inspiration comes from one of the most classic Japanese patterns called Ichimatsu, to be then revised with the addition of elements that tell the story of the four seasons.
The squares were originally made by hand, each different from the other, while elements such as cherry blossoms, hummingbirds, maple leaves and snow are always inserted following the customer’s requests.
